Goodbye 2014

I figured I should round out the year with a blog post and catch everyone up on the latest and greatest of the Taylor family.

Where to begin? Honestly, not much has happened in our lives in the past 2 months.

Our friends, the Rich's decided to up and leave us for Connecticut and then had a cute baby girl. Maxwell got to hang out with his future bride for little bit.

We actually got to hang out as a family for a day or two over the past two month! With Adam and I having opposite work schedules, we never see each other more than a few hours per week. It sucks, but it's only temporary. Right?

We got a sweet deal on an artificial tree! Goodbye 4 foot Christmas tree you've served us well the last 6 years!

Adam taught Max how to play guitar. He's a natural. Naturally.

We bought Max an exer-saucer. He loves it!

Since moving to Rhode Island I have heard nonstop from people to go see the lights at La Salette Shrine. We finally made it. It was packed and the traffic getting there was awful. Honestly, had I never seen the lights at Temple Square, the lights at the shrine would have been pretty cool.
I said to Adam, "I guess no one can do a light display quite like the Mormon's". It's true.

Maxwell turned 5 months old! He grew a few inches and gained a few pounds. He's now wearing size 9 months. His hair is growing in nicely and is looking more and more adorable everyday!

We started sleep training Max. He was doing so well! We were almost two weeks in, and then he go a cold and started teething. Needless to say, all of our sleepless, hard work nights went out the window. Once his cold is gone, we'll get back on the sleep training train.

We celebrated Christmas! All of our dreams came true! Adam had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas day so I was sad having him gone. However, I did get 4 days off of work to spend with my little baby!

Last, we celebrated our 7 year anniversary! We spent the day as a family and that night Adam took me to a nice dinner at Gracie's. It was our first date since Max was born. It was a lovely day with my favorite guys!

Hmmm?

Life is good here. We just keep on trucking. I keep working and Adam keeps working.

Maxwell was a shark for Halloween. He was super cute! He fell asleep before we left trick-or-treating, so I looked like a desperate/creepy adult carrying a sleeping baby begging for candy from strangers. Maybe it'll be better next year.

Some of the friends we trick-or-treated with

This is how he spent his first trick-or-treating experience
We enjoyed a cold/rainy day at the zoo with Adam's cousin Amy and her family. At least there were no crowds!

The many faces of Maxwell. I never get tired of his little face!

He drools so much now, he has to wear bibs all the time

I gave Maxwell his first haircut. He had a patch of newborn wispy's at the crown of his head. It was long and gross, so I buzzed it off. It looks much better now. It looks less comb-overy.

Maxwell found his thumb a few weeks ago. He doesn't always suck it, maybe a few times per day. When he starts sucking it, he makes a face like he's not sure he enjoys it, then he keeps sucking. I hope this isn't the start of a bad habit.

On November 17 Max turned 4 months old. At his 4 month check up, he was 16 lbs 12 oz, and 26 inches. He's a big boy! He's wearing 6 month size. The body and sleeves of his clothes are starting to get too small.

In other news, officially tomorrow (I'm sure no one will read this until tomorrow), I am being released from my calling as Young Women's President. It's bitter sweet for me. I love the girls, but I didn't feel like I had any time to dedicated to the YW since I've had Max and returned to work full time. It doesn't help that Adam and I have opposite schedules and he's not home in the evenings to take care of Max while I do church stuff. So, it's for the best. Stay tuned for my new calling...

What's Up?!

Life has been pretty good. It's been a while since the last blog post.
Let's see what has happened in the Taylor family over the last (almost) two months.

Maxwell continued to get cuter and cuter by the day.

We attended a seafood festival. It was delicious as all seafood is.

Adam got a new job. Did I mention that on here? He works for Mandarin Oriental. It's a fancy-shmancy hotel in Boston. He works for the restaurant Bar Bouloud. It's also fancy-shmancy. It's French cuisine (not my favorite I've determined).
Before the restaurant opened to the public, we were able to try it out for free!

I went blueberry and raspberry picking with some friends.

With my last two weeks of leave from work, Max and I flew to Utah to see the family. It was a grand time. We spent all of our time with family and friends. I had to let my parents get their Maxwell fill since they are leaving for Spain in less than a month for their two year mission!

Selfies with my sister. Out of 50 + not one was good.

All good things must come to an end. We had to go back to Rhode Island and reality.
Since coming home, I have returned to work. I am half way through my third week. It was tough at first, but it's getting easier. I do love my job, but I love my baby more!

We went to the Cranberry Harvest Celebration for the 4th year in a row. We had to buy Maxwell a beanie while we were there. Obviously, we aren't used to going places with a baby when it's cold!

We blessed Maxwell on October 12. His booties were a tad small and we forgot to take a family picture, but it was a very sweet blessing. He looked so handsome in his sailor outfit.

Maxwell turned 3 months old so we celebrated by going apple picking! (Not really, they just happened to be on the same day). I'm not aware of his stats. I just know he's big and long and wears 6 month clothes now.

We forgot his hat again!
Last Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch so Maxwell could choose his first pumpkin!

Again, where's the hat?!
This is his first pumpkin!
Yes, I made him sit on a pumpkin for a photo
With this photo overload, (I can't believe we've done so much these last few months)! I leave you with a sleeping photo of everyone's favorite baby!

Okay, two photos!
